Preschool (1.5-3 years)
In Preschool, the Early Childhood Montessori philosophy is embraced, with a carefully prepared environment that fosters exploration and discovery. The classroom offers practical life, math, language, science, art, and geography activities, including hands-on tasks like washing hands, pouring water, and using tongs. Phonic awareness is developed through sound recognition and letter association, while math focuses on understanding numerical symbols and quantities. Toilet training is emphasized, and children engage in a variety of art, music, language, and science activities, both teacher-directed and child-led. The nurturing teachers support toilet training, good eating habits, appropriate growth, and development, using music, movement, sensory tables, drama, and imaginative play to create an exciting and challenging curriculum that encourages critical thinking and values the learning process.

Kindergarten (5 years)
The Early Childhood Montessori program follows a three-year cycle, with the third year, or Montessori kindergarten year, bringing previous learning to fruition. During this year, the child’s knowledge solidifies, and they experience rapid academic and social growth. The Montessori teacher, who knows the child well, provides tailored guidance to help them reach their full potential. Third-year students build upon their learning, engaging in complex work, learning time management, and taking on increased responsibilities and privileges. They also reinforce their knowledge by helping younger peers, a method proven to consolidate understanding.
Children look forward to becoming the “big kids” in the classroom, a role that fosters self-esteem and intellectual confidence. Removing them from this environment disrupts their maturation cycle, especially for younger siblings who miss the opportunity to lead. Staying for the kindergarten year ensures continuity, as the teacher already understands the child’s needs, eliminating the adjustment period. This third year is invaluable, setting the foundation for future academic and social success.
